The Harley-Davidson did start to became known when William Harley and Arthur Davidson produced last 1903 the first creation of motorcycle. The motobike that was built was a racing bike. It was produced in a small shed wooden named Harley-Davidson Motor Company on the front door. After one year they made 3 motorcycles for the public. V Rod Muscle Exhaust

Harley-Davidson hired their first worker last 1905 when they won the first race. Three years later, in 1908, Harley-Davidson sold the first motorcycle for use in police service to the Detroit Police Department. A 6 story factory was built in 1912. H-D exported their first bikes to Japan.
H-D entered the national racing circuit in 1914 and became termed “the wrecking crew”. Harley-Davidson then started to sell their motorcycles to the Military in 1917.
By 1918 half of all bikes manufactured were sent off to military for service in World War 1, and Corporal Roy Holtz is considered the first soldier to ride a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle in Germany. The H-D became even more prosperous in 1920, generated 2000 dealers in 67 countries.
1931 is the year that almost all of Harley’s competitors are gone, with the exception of the Indian Motorcycle Company. The Indian and Harley-Davidson motorcycle company were the only two remaining motorcycle companies.
For the reason that world gets into into World War 2, so does Harley turn back into Military motorcycle creation, and the service school is turned back into the military motorcycle service school, generally known as the Quartermaster School for military mechanics. The Harley-Davidson Motorcycle were hardly reached out by the public during this time.
