The company specializes in acquiring properties zoned for high density use that are currently underutilized. All properties are located within a 3 mile radius of downtown Portland. We purposefully avoid developing land in outer lying areas because we see maximal use of urban space as a means of reducing the demand to use up untouched land elsewhere.
The company also places a high priority on implementing sustainable building practices, since sustainability is so closely linked to livability. All new construction projects are Earth Advantage and Energy Star certified, and efforts are being made to pursue LEED certification on future developments.
We also believe that the best developments result from close partnership and cooperation with the various offices and bureaus of the city. The City of Portland has many helpful resources available to developers. We are seeking ways to work with the Portland Development Commission on projects in their urban renewal districts. The Office of Sustainable Development is also a valuable resource as we seek to implement environmentally friendly building practices and technologies.
