Robel has been in construction ever since he earned the Craftsman of the Year award at Beaumont Middle School in Northeast Portland. He later honed is his trade skills at Benson Polytechnic High School. He also managed various construction projects for his father in his real estate business. After attending ITT Technical Institute to develop drafting skills, Robel returned to help Meron run the family business. During that time he also learned the financial and marketing aspects of running a business.
Robel’s thorough understanding of all trades related to construction has been instrumental in the growth and vision of Bridgecity Group. Robel strongly desires to utilize recycled materials, which not only helps Bridgecity Group’s bottom line, but also saves tons of materials from going to the local landfill as those materials are reused in Bridgecity’s building projects.
